Description

Joseph Joseph Totem Compact 40L Waste & Recycling Bin

The Joseph Joseph Totem Compact is an award-winning kitchen bin that consolidates waste and recycling into one sleek unit. With two 20-litre compartments, you can easily separate general waste and recyclables without taking up extra floor space. Its integrated odour control system keeps your kitchen smelling fresh, and the compact design fits neatly against a wall or in a corner.

Intelligent Waste Separation

The Totem's dual compartments allow you to sort waste effortlessly. Each bin has a sturdy handle for easy lifting and a lid that seals in odours. The inner buckets are removable for simple emptying and cleaning.

Preventing Bin Bag Slipping

To keep bin liners securely in place, use the built-in bag fixers located inside each compartment. Simply pull the liner over the rim and press it down into the fixers. This prevents bags from slipping down and keeps the bin looking tidy. If you experience slipping, ensure the fixers are engaged and the bag is not overfilled.

Odour Control for Freshness

The integrated odour control system uses a filter (included) to neutralise unpleasant smells. Replace the filter every 3-6 months for optimal performance. The system is designed to keep your kitchen air clean even with food waste.

Designed for Everyday Use

The Totem is equipped with a foot pedal for hands-free lid opening, making it easy to use while cooking. The soft-close lid ensures quiet operation. The outer shell is sturdy and easy to wipe clean.

Great bin, but lid can be finicky

It's a well-thought-out design. The compartments are equal and the foot pedals are handy. The only issue is that sometimes the lid doesn't close all the way, letting a bit of smell out. Otherwise, great.

Not bad, but could be bigger

The bin is well-made, but the 20L compartments feel smaller than expected. If you have a large family, you'll be emptying it often. It's fine for a couple or single person.

Cuts kitchen waste smell

I was skeptical about the odour control, but it truly works. Even after a week without emptying, there's no smell. The bin looks great and is easy to clean.

Solid bin, but watch out for fingerprints

The matte finish shows fingerprints easily, but that's a minor cosmetic issue. The function is top-notch.
