How do I clean Haakaa nipple shields?

Wash with warm soapy water after each use. Sterilize daily by boiling for 2–3 minutes or using a steam sterilizer. Let them dry completely before storing.

Will a nipple shield affect my milk supply?

If used correctly, a shield should not drastically reduce supply. For best results, use it only until the nipple recovers, and work with a lactation consultant to transition to direct breastfeeding.

Can I use a nipple shield with a Haakaa pump?

No, nipple shields are designed for direct breastfeeding only. Use a different flange size for pumping, and consult the pump fitting guide for recommendations.
